IMD Forecasts Warmer Days as Delhi’s Minimum Temperature Soars Above Normal

Delhi is experiencing unusually warm weather for February, with minimum temperatures around 10°C above normal. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) expects this trend to persist in the coming days. Typically, normal minimum temperatures for Delhi in February range from 8-9°C, but recent readings have been closer to 18-19°C. This warmth is due to the lack of active western disturbances and minimal snowfall in the higher regions. The IMD predicts that minimum temperatures will remain 3-4°C above normal for the next six days. Across India, most regions are expected to see above-normal minimum temperatures, with the exception of some northwestern areas. Residents should brace for warmer-than-usual conditions as winter gives way to spring.
