IMD Issues Yellow Alert: Delhi-NCR Braces for Fog, Rain & Himalayan Snowfall

The IMD has cautioned residents of Delhi-NCR and northern India about significant weather changes beginning January 24. A fresh western disturbance is set to bring rain, snow, and fog across the region, impacting visibility, travel, and daily routines.

• Temperature Drop: Minimum temperatures expected to hover around 7–9°C, with daytime highs between 22–24°C.  
• Western Himalayas: Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand forecasted to receive light to moderate rain/snow, with isolated heavy falls.  
• Cold Wave Impact: Sharp decline in temperatures across northern India as cold northwesterly winds intensify.
