India Aims to Dominate Small Satellite Market with 25 Annual Launches

India is set to become a major player in the global small satellite market, with plans to conduct 25 launches annually using three Small Satellite Launch Vehicles (SSLVs). IN-SPACe chairman Pawan Goenka announced that a dedicated launch center for small satellites is being established to achieve this goal. The initiative aims to secure a significant share of the global market, valued at $7.7 billion by 2030. This ambitious plan involves Skyroot's Vikram rocket, Agnikul's Agnibaan, and ISRO's SSLV, positioning India as a formidable competitor in the space industry1.
