India Allocates ₹229.19 Billion to Propel Electronics Component Manufacturing

The Indian Cabinet has approved a ₹229.19 billion package to boost domestic electronics component manufacturing, aiming to strengthen India's position in the global supply chain. The initiative seeks to reduce import dependency and enhance local production of critical components like PCBs, displays, and capacitors. This move aligns with the government's Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat vision. Experts anticipate the scheme will attract significant private investments and create thousands of jobs, while fostering innovation in advanced electronics. The policy is expected to drive India's electronics output to $240 billion by 2030.
