India Launches Innovative National Crowd Management Campaign to Enhance Public Safety

As a response to recent tragic events, India is leading an all-round national crowd management initiative. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw declared the establishment of permanent holding zones at 60 high-traffic stations and the installation of AI-based crowd monitoring systems. The plan involves color-coded enclosures, upgraded technology, and crisis-management training for officials. Industrialist Anand Mahindra urged a "national mission" on crowd safety, suggesting a joint effort using technology and process analysis. The campaign, which is a step ahead, is aimed at avoiding future tragedies and maintaining public safety at mass gatherings throughout the nation, setting a new benchmark for crowd management in the world's most populous country.
