India Unveils Ambitious AI Initiative to Foster Young Talent

The Indian government has launched a groundbreaking AI program aimed at empowering 100,000 young innovators. The initiative, called "YuvAI," is a collaboration between IndiaAI, Meta, and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). This three-year program will focus on building capacity in generative AI skills, utilizing open-source Large Language Models (LLMs) to foster innovation across key sectors. The initiative includes the establishment of a Gen AI Resource Hub, an LLM course for young developers, and master training workshops. Additionally, the program features hackathons and an AI Innovation Accelerator to support student-led startups. This effort aligns with India's goal of becoming a global leader in AI technology and economic growth.
