Indian Stocks Expected to Rise as Foreign Flows Return

Indian shares are projected to open higher today, buoyed by a significant resurgence in foreign portfolio investments. On Friday, FPIs purchased Indian stocks worth ₹74.70 billion ($868.3 million), marking the largest single-day inflow this year. This positive sentiment follows a challenging period where FPIs had withdrawn approximately ₹1.54 trillion in FY25, the highest outflow recorded. Analysts suggest that improving valuations and a stabilizing global market are encouraging foreign investors to re-enter the Indian equity market. The Nifty and Sensex indices are poised for a strong start amid this renewed interest.
