India's Acrobatic Ace: Pranati Nayak Springs into World Cup Vault Final

Pranati Nayak, a gymnast from India, has made it into the Vault final at the FIG Apparatus World Cup in Antalya, Turkey. The 29-year-old Olympian was ranked third in the qualification round on Thursday with a good total of 13.317. Nayak was behind Jayla Hang of the USA (13.783) and Claire Pease of the USA (13.584). The Vault final will occur on Saturday (March 22, 2025). Nayak's coach, Ashok Kumar Mishra, feels that if she performed better in the finals, she could win a medal. Nayak has a strong track record in gymnastics, receiving two bronze medals in vault events at the Asian Championships in 2019 and 2020, and she won a bronze medal at the FIG Apparatus World Cup in Cairo last year. Nayak's qualification to the Antalya World Cup final demonstrates her continued emergence as a gymnast and her early experience in international gymnastics events.
