India's Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicle market is experiencing unprecedented growth, with the total count surging to 7.5 million units, a threefold increase from 2.6 million in fiscal 2016. This remarkable expansion, driven by the government's push for cleaner fuels, is set to continue with domestic annual sales projected to reach 1.1 million units by the end of the current fiscal year. The rapid adoption is supported by a significant increase in CNG infrastructure, with filling stations expected to exceed 7,400, up from 1,081 in 2016.
