India's Defence Sector Gears Up for Explosive Growth in 2025

India's defence sector is poised for a transformative year in 2025, with the government declaring it the 'Year of Reforms'. The defence budget has increased by 9.5% to ₹6.81 lakh crore, focusing on modernization and self-reliance. Key initiatives include a 75% allocation for domestic procurement and increased R&D funding to ₹26,817 crore. The sector aims for a turnover of $26 billion in aerospace and defence manufacturing by 2025. However, challenges remain, with only 27.66% of the budget allocated to capital expenditure. As geopolitical tensions rise, India's defence industry is set to play a crucial role in national security and economic growth.
