India's Defense Muscle Grows: AVNL Secures Anti-Tank Weapon Platform Deal in ₹2,500 Crore Military Contract Spree

The Indian government has signed defense deals of ₹2,500 crore, out of which a huge chunk has been allocated to Armoured Vehicle Nigam Limited (AVNL) to design an anti-tank weapon platform. This is part of India's drive towards military modernization and defence production self-reliance. The deals also involve agreements with Mahindra and Mahindra and Force Motors for 5,000 light vehicles to enhance the country's military mobility. AVNL's entry points to the government's confidence in local producers for key defense systems. This comes after AVNL's recent partnerships, such as possible Javelin missile production, which demonstrates India's increasing capability in sophisticated military technology.
