India's First Bullet Train Launch Imminent, Says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "The dream of India's first bullet train will soon be fulfilled." He showed optimism while participating in a virtual event to initiate several railway projects. Elaborating further on the upsurge in high-speed rail requirements, he asserted, "Not too long in the future will the first bullet train run through the country." He also hailed recent achievements; for instance, the Vande Bharat sleeper train had reportedly clocked trials at 180 km/h successfully. He went on to reveal that the operation of the much-awaited Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor is accelerating, and full operations are envisioned to begin before 2026.
