India’s Most Expensive Expressway: 22 Years to Connect Two Metros in 3 hours

The Mumbai-Pune Expressway, India's first six-lane highway, has significantly enhanced connectivity between Mumbai and Pune since its inception in 2002. This engineering marvel has reduced travel time between the two cities from three hours to just one hour, benefiting daily commuters and long-distance travelers alike. The expressway is renowned not only for its speed but also for its substantial toll fees, making it one of the country's most expensive roads. Spanning approximately 95 kilometers, the expressway is set to expand further with the addition of two more lanes in the coming months, aiming to accommodate increasing traffic and improve safety.
