India's Tech Renaissance: Jaishankar Identifies Space and AI as Drivers

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar underscored that space exploration and artificial intelligence are key to India regaining its position as a technology source on the world stage. Addressing the Kashi Tamil Sangamamam 3.0 on February 23, 2025, Jaishankar underlined efforts by the government to promote talent in these spheres. He referred to the space sector and drone initiatives as examples of technology sectors led by young entrepreneurs. The minister also referred to Prime Minister Modi's recent visit to the AI Summit in Paris, highlighting India's focus on technological development. Jaishankar emphasized the role of the New Education Policy in equipping the country for the challenges of the future, and that Indian knowledge and heritage can play a key role in technological development.
