India's Two-Wheeler, Three-Wheeler, and Passenger Vehicle Sales Show Mixed Results in January 2025

India's automotive sector displayed varied performance across segments in January 2025. Two-wheeler sales reached 15,25,862 units, marking a 4.15% year-on-year growth. This increase reflects improving consumer confidence and a gradual recovery in the market. Three-wheeler sales, however, showed a significant decline, with only 58,167 units sold. This sharp drop may indicate ongoing challenges in the commercial vehicle segment, possibly due to economic factors or shifts in urban mobility preferences. The passenger vehicle segment demonstrated robust growth, with total domestic sales reaching 4,65,920 units, a substantial 15.53% increase compared to the previous year.
