IndiGo to Introduce Delhi-Bangkok Flight with Leased Boeing 787-9

IndiGo, India's biggest carrier, is planning to operate its first long-haul flight with a leased Boeing 787-9 wide-body aircraft on the Delhi-Bangkok route. This move indicates IndiGo's foray into long-haul operations with wide-body jets. IndiGo recently inked a damp lease deal with Norse Atlantic Airways for the Boeing 787-9, which will arrive in India in the coming weeks. Operations are expected to commence in March 2025, adding to IndiGo's global presence. The project is in line with IndiGo's vision of becoming a global player by 2030 while retaining deep roots in India. The six-month lease agreement can be extended for up to 18 months subject to regulatory clearances.
