Inertia Steel - Unit Enters PPA With Livint Green Technologies For Solar Power

Banganga Paper Mills Ltd., a subsidiary of Banganga Paper Industries Ltd. (formerly Inertia Steel Ltd.), has signed a Power Purchase Agreement with Livint Green Technologies Ltd. for a 2.5 MW DC solar power plant in Maharashtra. The plant will supply clean energy to Banganga's Nashik manufacturing unit, reducing costs by INR 2.30-2.50 per unit. Banganga will hold a 26% stake in the project, complying with captive power regulations. The 15-year agreement includes provisions for surplus energy banking and carbon credit leveraging. This move demonstrates Banganga's commitment to sustainable practices and cost-efficient energy management, with savings expected from April 1, 2025.
