IPL 2025: BCCI Cracks the Whip - New Rules to Shake Up the League

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released fresh Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the next season of IPL 2025. Players are now required to ride to practice sessions in team buses, and their families are forbidden from dressing rooms, even during non-match days. The board has also mandated a dress code for post-match presentations, in which sleeveless jerseys and floppies have been banned. Fines will be imposed for forgetting accreditation cards or dress code violations. These steps are being taken to create a more professional atmosphere after India's recent Test series defeat in Australia. The IPL 2025 will be played from March 22 to May 25, with the season opener between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
