"Ismein Detox Kuch Nahi Hai!" – Namita Thapar Calls Out Fake Health Claims on Shark Tank India"

In a recent episode of Shark Tank India Season 4, Namita Thapar, Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, confronted the founders of Utopian Drinks over their 'detox' beverage claims. The entrepreneurs, Shweta and Abhishek, sought ₹40 lakh for a 1.8% stake in their company, asserting their juices contained no sugar or preservatives. However, upon reviewing the ingredients, Thapar challenged the 'detox' label, stating, "This is just juice. You can't call this detox." Aman Gupta and Anupam Mittal echoed her concerns, emphasizing the importance of honest marketing to consumers. The founders left without securing a deal.
