JSW Steel Ltd has unveiled a multi-pronged expansion strategy for FY26, combining aggressive capital expenditure, strategic acquisitions, and joint ventures to strengthen its position as India’s leading integrated steel producer. Financial Performance Highlights

- Q1 FY26 consolidated revenue from operations stood at ₹431.47 billion, beating IBE-S estimates of ₹425.07 billion  
- Net profit rose to ₹21.84 billion, surpassing the projected ₹20.39 billion, driven by higher volumes and improved margins  

Capex And Expansion Strategy

- JSW Steel plans to invest ₹200,000 crore in FY26 to expand capacity, modernize plants, and enhance sustainability  
- The company aims to reach 50 million tonnes of steel production capacity by FY31  

Strategic Acquisitions

- JSW will acquire 100 percent equity in Thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel India via a ₹4,051 crore deal with JFE Steel, enhancing its value-added portfolio  
- It will also acquire up to 24.9 percent additional stake in JSW Seve-Field Structures for ₹2.35 billion to consolidate its downstream footprint  

Joint Venture With Andhra Pradesh

- JSW has partnered with AP Mineral Development Corporation to build an iron ore beneficiation plant in Prakasam district  
- The JV supports backward integration and raw material security for JSW’s upcoming ₹8,800 crore steel plant in Kadapa
