₹1,787 crore for irrigation, drinking water, and lake rejuvenation in the eight districts of the Mysuru division, namely Chamarajanagar, Chikkamagaluru, Dakshina Kannada, Hassan, Kodagu, Mandya, Mysuru, and Udupi.

₹315 crore for drinking water projects specifically.

₹475 crore will revive 110 lakes in Gundlupet taluk alone.

Tourism and Sports Infrastructure

₹300 crore to enhance tourism infrastructure in Chamarajanagar.

Sanction for a new international cricket stadium in Yelwala, Mysuru, with land already sanctioned to the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA).

Upgradation of the Kollegal sub-district hospital as a 250-bed district hospital.

₹40 crore for the development of Khadi Gramodyoga (village industries) in Badanavalu, with ₹20 crore to be disbursed in this financial year.

Decentralized Governance and Future Plans

The cabinet meeting in Chamarajanagar is one of a series of new initiatives to conduct such sessions in all four revenue divisions of Karnataka, with future meetings to be held at Vijayapura in Belagavi division and Nandi Hills in Bengaluru division.

Hanur in Chamarajanagar will become officially designated as a taluk, with a new administrative block and a 50-bed hospital.

Government Response and Political Context

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah pointed out that the large number of project approvals dispel criticism about the finances of the state, saying, "If there were really no funds, could we approve projects worth ₹3,600 crore?"

The Chief Minister also remembered victims of a recent terror attack in Jammu & Kashmir, highlighting the government's commitment to national unity and security.
