Leadership Transition at REC Limited: Jitendra Srivastava Takes Over as CMD

REC Limited has announced a key leadership change, with Parminder Chopra stepping down as Chairman and Managing Director. The company has appointed Jitendra Srivastava as the new CMD, marking a significant transition in its leadership structure.  

Srivastava, a 2000-batch Indian Administrative Service officer from the Bihar cadre, previously served as Joint Secretary in the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation under the Ministry of Jal Shakti. His appointment has been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, and he will assume his new role with the rank and pay of Additional Secretary to the Government of India.  

REC Limited, formerly known as Rural Electrification Corporation Limited, plays a crucial role in financing and promoting rural electrification projects across India. The organization has been instrumental in supporting government initiatives aimed at enhancing power infrastructure in rural areas. With Srivastava at the helm, REC is expected to continue its mission of strengthening India's power sector and expanding its financing capabilities.
