Domestic LPG Prices Hold Steady

Households across India will not see any change in domestic LPG prices today. The 14.2 kg cylinder continues at the same rates set after the March 7 hike of Rs 60. Current prices are:

• Delhi: Rs 913
• Mumbai: Rs 912.50
• Kolkata: Rs 939
• Chennai: Rs 928.50 

Commercial LPG Rates Rise Again

Commercial LPG cylinders, widely used in hotels, restaurants, and catering services, have become costlier for the second time since the West Asia conflict escalated in late February. The first hike of Rs 144 was announced in March, followed by another increase in April. This has raised operational costs for businesses dependent on cooking gas.

India imports nearly 90% of its LPG from West Asian countries, including Saudi Arabia and Qatar. The ongoing geopolitical tensions in the region have disrupted supply chains and driven up global energy prices.
