L&T Secures Preferred EPC Contractor Status for Masdar's Groundbreaking Solar and Battery Project in Abu Dhabi

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has been announced as a preferred Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor for the north site of Masdar's pioneering 24/7 solar PV and battery storage gigascale project in Abu Dhabi. This project, developed in collaboration with Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC), will feature a 5.2GW solar photovoltaic plant coupled with a 19GWh battery energy storage system (BESS). As one of the world's largest combined solar and storage projects, it aims to provide 1GW of continuous clean energy. L&T's selection underscores its expertise in renewable energy infrastructure and aligns with the UAE's commitment to sustainable development and clean energy transition.
