Maha Kumbh Footfall Crosses 50 Crore, Setting Historic Record

The Uttar Pradesh government has announced that the ongoing Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj has attracted an incredible 50 crore visitors as of February 14, making it the largest human gathering in history. On Friday alone, over 92 lakh devotees took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam. This number surpasses the combined populations of the US and Russia, highlighting the global significance of this spiritual event.   Taking place every 12 years, the Maha Kumbh started on January 13 and will run until February 26. Despite facing challenges, including a tragic stampede on January 29, the event has showcased both faith and effective management. Advanced crowd control measures, such as AI-powered surveillance and digital tokens, have helped ensure smooth operations for millions of attendees each day.
