Maruti Suzuki's Q3 Net Profit Climbs 16% YoY to ₹3,727 Crore, Surpassing Estimates

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., the country's leading automaker, reported a 16% year-on-year increase in net profit for the third quarter of FY25, reaching ₹3,727 crore. This growth was driven by strong revenue performance, with total income rising to ₹38,492.1 crore. The company also announced the amalgamation of Suzuki Motor Gujarat, aiming to streamline operations and enhance production efficiency. 
Despite the positive results, Maruti Suzuki faced challenges due to higher discounts and a decline in small car sales, which impacted overall profitability. The company's standalone profit rose 12.6% year-on-year to ₹3,525 crore, slightly below analysts' expectations. Sales in the small car segment, including models like 'Alto', 'WagonR', and 'Swift', fell by 3.7%, reflecting a market shift towards SUVs. 
These results underscore Maruti Suzuki's resilience in a competitive market, as it continues to navigate changing consumer preferences and market dynamics.
