MedPlus Expands Footprint: Targets Three New States in Strategic Growth Move

MedPlus Health Services, India's second-largest pharmacy retail chain, is set to expand its presence into three new states: Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. This strategic move brings the company's operations to a total of 10 states, with over 4,250 stores across more than 600 cities. Despite scaling back its FY25 store addition target to 300 from the initial 600, MedPlus remains committed to growth, particularly in tier-2 cities. The expansion aligns with the company's hub-and-spoke model and its focus on enhancing healthcare accessibility in semi-urban regions, potentially establishing MedPlus as a leader in improving medication access across India.
