On Friday, MetLife formally launched its new technology centers in Hyderabad and Pune, solidifying its leadership position in the fast-expanding Indian BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) industry. The new centers will be a key driver in enhancing MetLife's global technology, analytics, and customer experience capabilities.

Expansion Details

MetLife has launched technology centers in Hyderabad and Pune, substantially expanding its India presence.
The Hyderabad GCC is at Prestige Skytech in the Financial District, with 200,000 square feet of office space being taken up by the company.
The Pune center augments MetLife's already established operations in Noida and Jaipur, all now together under the banner of the MetLife Global Capability Center (MGCC).

Strategic Significance

These new GCCs will be key technology and operations centers, driving MetLife's services for more than 90 million customers in over 40 markets globally.
The GCCs are likely to generate over 2,000 direct jobs in Hyderabad alone and play a valuable role in the local economy and talent pool.

Hyderabad alone has witnessed a spurt of office space purchases by BFSI players, with MetLife's 2.5 lakh sq ft purchase one of the biggest in 2024.
