He humorously remarked, "I’m not unconventional looking; most Indians look like me," emphasizing that many people share his features. Siddiqui shared some experiences in the past in which casting directors would ask him if he fit a role because of his appearance, saying, "You don't look like an actor." He laments the prejudice but admits it has caused funny incidents, including being prohibited from entering the set of his own movie. The actor emphasized the importance of wider representation in Bollywood, claiming that he represents a traditional look as opposed to an unconventional one, setting himself apart from actors such as Hrithik Roshan.
