Nestlé India Invests ₹11 Billion to Expand Production; New KITKAT Line Operational at Sanand Factory

Nestlé India has announced a significant investment of approximately ₹11 billion to enhance its manufacturing capabilities. A key component of this investment is the commissioning of a third confectionery unit at the Sanand factory in Gujarat, dedicated to producing the popular KITKAT chocolate. This expansion aligns with Nestlé's broader capital expenditure plan of ₹58 billion for the period 2020-2025, aiming to meet the growing consumer demand and strengthen its market presence.

The Sanand facility, which began initial production in October 2021, has now commenced manufacturing KITKAT bars, with an annual production capacity of approximately 12,000 tonnes. This development not only bolsters Nestlé's production capabilities but also underscores the company's commitment to the 'Make in India' initiative, contributing to local employment and economic growth.

In addition to expanding its manufacturing footprint, Nestlé India has reported robust financial performance. In the third quarter of FY25, the company achieved a net profit of ₹696.1 crore, marking a 6.18% increase year-on-year. Total sales for the period reached ₹4,762.1 crore, reflecting a growth of 3.9%. The company also declared a second interim dividend of ₹14.25 per share, reinforcing its commitment to delivering value to shareholders.

This strategic investment and strong financial performance highlight Nestlé India's dedication to meeting consumer demands through enhanced production capabilities and a focus on quality.
