Netherlands Unveils Vision for India: A New Era of Tech and Trade

The Netherlands Ambassador to India Marisa Gerards highlighted the solid bilateral ties between the two nations at the Gujarat SemiConnect Conference 2025. Gerards spoke of the Netherlands' semiconductor expertise, naming ASML Holdings and NXP as prime movers. She identified three possibilities for cooperation: interaction between technical universities, talent building through cooperative training programs, and enhancing India's supply chain with Dutch knowledge. Gerards also spoke about the future elevation of bilateral relations to a strategic level in 2025. The ambassador lauded India's fast development in semiconductor design and production, describing India as a trusted friend in turbulent geopolitical times.
