As of January 2025, New Delhi’s air pollution has reached hazardous levels, with PM2.5 concentrations surpassing 262 µg/m³—equivalent to smoking 21 cigarettes daily, according to IQAir. The toxic air, driven by vehicular emissions, industrial output, and stubble burning, poses severe health risks, including respiratory and cardiovascular diseases.
