The 3rd Hockey India Sub Junior Women Academy Championship 2025 for Zone A & B begins today at Kailash Hockey Stadium, Karnal, Haryana. Seventeen talented teams from top Indian hockey academies are set to compete in a round-robin and knockout format, showcasing the future stars of Indian women’s hockey.
From November 15 to 23, 2025, Karnal hosts the highly anticipated 3rd Hockey India Sub Junior Women Academy Championship 2025. The championship features 17 teams divided into four pools across Zone A and B, bringing together emerging talents from premier hockey academies nationwide. Competing teams in Pool A include Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy, Citizen Hockey XI, and Sports Authority of Gujarat Hockey Academy among others. Pool B features academies like HAR Hockey Academy, Ritu Rani Hockey Academy, and Tamil Nadu Hockey Academy.
The tournament adopts a round-robin format within pools where teams earn 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw, and none for a loss. Winners of each pool will advance to the semifinals on November 22, culminating in the final on November 23. The championship is a crucial platform for grassroots development, with Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey highlighting the event's role in nurturing future national players.
