In a landmark academic partnership, Chitkara University and York University, Toronto, formalized a memorandum of understanding to launch a 2+2 pathway in computer science. Indian students will complete the first two years of their Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science at Chitkara University, following a curriculum aligned with Canadian academic standards.
Upon successful completion, students will transfer to York University’s Lassonde School of Engineering to finish the last two years and earn a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. York University offers specializations in Cybersecurity and Data Science, along with academic mentorship from its distinguished faculty.
This program offers students enhanced academic mobility, scholarship opportunities, housing support, and paid co-op or internship placements to gain real-world experience. The first cohort is expected to join York University in September 2028.
