State Bank of India (SBI) Chandigarh recently organized a successful Digital Life Certificate (DLC) camp where more than 200 pensioners submitted their ‘Jeevan Pramaan’, the Aadhaar-based digital life certificate. The initiative aims to ease pension verification and promote digital awareness among senior citizens.
As part of the Government of India’s Nationwide Digital Life Certificate Campaign 4.0, SBI’s Regional Business Office (RBO) Chandigarh hosted a dedicated DLC camp at its Local Head Office in Sector 17, Chandigarh. The camp saw enthusiastic participation with over 200 pensioners completing their ‘Jeevan Pramaan’ submissions using biometric authentication.
The event was inaugurated by Shri Krishan Sharma, Chief General Manager, SBI LHO Chandigarh, along with senior officials from RBO Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, and PGIMER Chandigarh Branch participating actively. To further encourage senior citizens’ well-being, SBI also organized a free health check-up camp alongside the DLC submission drive.
Pensioners received hands-on assistance from bank officials for face authentication and were educated on digital security best practices to safeguard against fraud. This seamless digital process allows pensioners to maintain uninterrupted pension payments without physically visiting pension disbursal points.
SBI continues to support the government’s vision of digital empowerment under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership by ensuring convenience and security for senior citizens.
