Abu Dhabi Sets the Stage: 25th IUHPE World Conference Unlocks Global Health Brilliance

Abu Dhabi will become history when it hosts the 25th International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE) World Conference on Health Promotion between May 13–16, 2025-the first time that this distinguished global conference is to be held in the Middle East. Co-hosted by IUHPE and the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC), the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) conference will host more than 2,000 global delegates, including health practitioners, researchers, policymakers, and community advocates.

 

Titled "Settings for Planetary Health and Wellbeing," the four-day meeting will highlight pressing health issues like non-communicable diseases, mental illness, global warming, and emergency preparedness. The agenda includes keynote addresses, high-level panels, workshops, and networking forums to close the gap between research and practice, and foster innovative, actionable solutions for worldwide health.

 

This milestone event underscores Abu Dhabi’s commitment to advancing global health, transitioning from reactive healthcare to proactive health promotion, and placing prevention, innovation, and planetary well-being at the center of its vision. The conference will also highlight the emirate’s growing leadership in public health, research, and policy innovation, while providing a unique opportunity for knowledge exchange and international collaboration.
