After a prolonged wait, Accenture has delivered a much-anticipated boost to its workforce, announcing salary hikes ranging from 3% to 13% for employees at the Associate Manager (Level 8) tier and above. This marks the company’s first increment in over two years, arriving as part of its June performance review cycle and coinciding with a major global promotion drive.

Key Highlights:
  • Promotions Galore: Nearly 50,000 Accenture employees worldwide will be promoted this June, with India accounting for the largest share—15,000 staffers set to move up the ranks. Over 43,000 Indian employees are expected to be promoted through FY25, reflecting the country’s central role in Accenture’s growth strategy.
  • Salary Hikes After Long Pause: The 3–13% salary hikes, though welcomed, have received a muted response due to the lengthy gap since the last increment. Many employees in key growth areas and those not covered in previous cycles will also see base pay increases.
  • Delayed but Not Denied: Promotions and pay hikes had been delayed by six months due to a slowdown in consulting demand and global economic uncertainty. The move is seen as a morale booster after a challenging period for the IT and consulting sector.
  • Industry Context: While Accenture moves ahead with pay hikes, Indian IT giants like TCS and Wipro have postponed their own salary revisions, citing business environment pressures.
  • Business Outlook: The announcement follows a rebound in Accenture’s revenue growth, driven by rising demand for AI-powered solutions, even as operating margins remain under pressure.
With this sweeping round of promotions and pay hikes, Accenture signals renewed optimism and commitment to its Indian workforce.
