Art Meets Heart: QIFLIF 2025 Returns to Hyderabad with a Celebration of Queer Creativity

Hyderabad is set to sparkle with pride and creativity as QIFLIF 2025 — the Queer Indie Film & Lit Fest — returns to the city for its most dynamic edition yet. Hosted at the L V Prasad Digital Film Lab in Banjara Hills, this one-day festival on Sunday, October 12, 2025, is a heartfelt celebration of LGBTQIA+ voices through art, literature, and performance.

Organized by Queer Women Collective India, QIFLIF has become a beacon of inclusivity, having connected over 1,000 individuals across India since its inception. This year’s theme, “Art Meets Heart,” reflects the festival’s mission to spark dialogue, build empathy, and empower queer lives through storytelling.

Key highlights include:

- Indie queer film screenings: Over six powerful short films from across India will be showcased at Hyderabad’s best preview theatre, offering raw, authentic narratives of queer experiences

- Spoken word and book readings: Poets, authors, and storytellers will take the stage to share intimate and bold queer literature, bringing voices from the margins to the spotlight

- Live music performances: Soulful tunes by queer musicians will fill the air, creating a melodic space of joy and resistance

- Queer flea market: Featuring more than 40 stalls, the market will showcase unique crafts, zines, fashion, and art from LGBTQ+ creators — a perfect blend of commerce and culture

- Tickets and access: Early bird all-access passes start at ₹799, with fast-track entry via M-ticket. The event runs from 10:30 AM to 8 PM, offering a full day of immersive experiences
