Bihar Congress Unveils QR Code to Unlock Ticket Aspirations

In a bid to enhance transparency and grassroots participation, the Bihar Congress has launched a QR code system receiving applications from ticket aspirants for all 243 assembly seats ahead of the upcoming state elections. Scanning the QR code, potential candidates can see a detailed online application requiring information on their political work, social work, and online outreach-major selection criteria.

 

Congress state president Rajesh Kumar emphasized that the drive aims to end the role of power brokers and ensure a level playing field, and even sitting MLAs like him will have to go through the same route. The party has made it clear that this online drive is for fair selection, not an indication of contesting all seats alone, as seat-sharing talks in the INDIA bloc are still ongoing.

 

The QR code system is seen as a pioneering step to connect with real ground staff and make the ticketing issuance process even.
