Blades & Business: Inox Wind Spins Into a 51MW Partnership With First Energy

Inox Wind Limited (IWL), a leading Indian wind energy solutions provider, has clinched a significant 51MW contract from First Energy Private Limited (FEPL), a Thermax Group subsidiary and a rising force in India’s commercial & industrial (C&I) renewables sector. This milestone marks FEPL’s inaugural order with Inox Wind and strengthens IWL’s presence in the dynamic Indian green energy market.
 
Highlights
 
First-Ever Partnership: This is the debut order from FEPL to Inox Wind for delivery of advanced 3MW class wind turbines, featuring a 140-meter hub and 145-meter rotor diameter, symbolizing an upgrade in technology deployment.
 
Project Location: The turbines will be installed at FEPL’s upcoming wind project in Tamil Nadu via the SPV, First Energy 10 Private Limited.
 
Scope of Work: Inox Wind’s responsibilities include engineering, procurement, limited-scope EPC (supervision), and multi-year post-commissioning operations & maintenance (O&M) services.
 
Strategic Alliances: This contract is anticipated to be the start of a long and productive partnership between Inox Wind and the Thermax Group, accelerating growth in the C&I renewable sector.
 
Sector Impact: Inox Wind is reinforcing its track record as the preferred supplier for large-scale RE developers in India, supporting the nation’s drive towards renewable energy and sustainability.
