One of them included a then-novice Ranveer Singh, who was in training for his first high-profile film. Nawazuddin confirmed, "For a little while, yes, I had trained him. I was someone who was always taking workshops from time to time. If a person was trying to be an actor and wanted to be launched, then people would always reach out to me."

In spite of his association, Nawazuddin readily dismisses his role in bringing about Ranveer's success. "Ranveer Singh is a very good actor. Acting can't be taught. It's not some magic potion. You have to find it within yourself. He had his own talent. Yes, you can be taught different ways to approach, but ultimately, you have to walk it yourself," he mused.
