Bihar Tourism has launched its first-ever luxury caravan bus service to boost road trip tourism. Flagged off in Patna by Tourism Minister Arun Shankar Prasad, the BharatBenz-built caravans offer hotel-like amenities including beds, kitchen, bathroom, and entertainment. Priced at ₹75 per km, bookings are now open for destinations like Bodhgaya and Nalanda.
In a bid to transform travel experiences, Bihar Tourism has introduced luxury caravan buses, designed to provide a 5-star hotel experience on wheels. The initiative, flagged off in Patna, aims to attract both domestic and international tourists by offering comfort, convenience, and flexibility for road trips across the state.
Built on BharatBenz platforms, these caravans are equipped with private bedrooms, kitchen facilities, bathrooms, entertainment systems, fire detectors, and CCTV surveillance. The service is priced at ₹75 per kilometre, with a minimum daily usage of 250 km, making it ideal for trips to cultural hotspots like Bodhgaya, Nalanda, and Valmiki Nagar.
Tourism Minister Arun Shankar Prasad emphasized that the caravans will redefine road travel in Bihar, offering tourists a unique way to explore heritage sites while enjoying modern luxuries.
