The 11th edition of Chobi Mela, South Asia’s largest photography festival, has returned to Dhaka from January 16–31, 2026. Chobi Mela XI, the International Festival of Photography, has officially opened in Dhaka, Bangladesh, reaffirming its reputation as one of the most influential cultural events in South Asia. Organized by Drik Picture Library and Pathshala South Asian Media Institute, the festival runs from January 16 to 31, 2026, bringing together artists, curators, and audiences from around the world.
This year’s theme, “Re,” resonates with ideas of renewal, rebuilding, and resilience, reflecting the power of photography to document, challenge, and reimagine narratives.
