The settlement, officially announced by NBCC, marks the end of a protracted legal battle and sets the stage for future urban projects in the area.
Under the agreed terms, the total land will be divided equally, with NBCC and GNCTD each receiving 21.23 acres. For its share, NBCC will be granted a perpetual lease deed by GNCTD, ensuring long-term control and usage rights. Crucially, the lease will allow NBCC to undertake mixed-use development in line with the Master Plan for Delhi (MPD-2021), including sub-leasing and city zoning regulations.
