Vikran Engineering Limited announced on December 26 that it has accepted Letters of Award (LOAs) from M.P. Urja Vikas Nigam Limited for developing grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) power plants aggregating 45.75 MW AC capacity. The project, a part of the Surya Mitra Krishi Feeders Scheme under the PM KUSUM-C initiative, will supply renewable energy to Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited (MPPMCL).
The solar plants, to be located in Vidisha district, aim to solarize agricultural feeders and enhance rural energy sustainability. This win reinforces Vikran Engineering’s presence in India’s renewable energy market and aligns with the government’s target to augment solar generation under decentralized farm-linked schemes.
