It was awarded by Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in Alvorada Palace, with ceremonial reception including a 114-horse escort and performances blending Indian and Brazilian cultural heritage.
 
Modi received the award, dedicating it to the Indian people and emphasizing the shared values of democracy, diversity, and development uniting the two nations.
