Delhi will have drastic traffic restrictions around Nirankari Ground in Burari from May 20 to May 27, as a large number of devotees throng daily between 8 am and midnight to hear the Shiv Mahapuran Katha. Delhi Traffic Police have put out an alert warning commuters of massive jams and diversions on key stretches like Outer Ring Road (Burari Chowk to Mukundpur Chowk), Arihant Marg (Mukundpur Chowk to Azadpur Chowk), and Bhai Parmanand Marg (Burari Chowk to Kingsway Camp Chowk).

No-parking zones have been declared on these roads, and the vehicles parked will be prosecuted and towed away. Short notice road closures and detours will happen, especially along Shah Alam Bandh Road and Yograj Colony. Devotees are advised to use the Majlis Park Metro Station for easy access to the event, and general public commuters are asked to avoid the affected roads during event hours for an easy ride.

The government is appealing for public assistance to enable smooth traffic and security throughout the week-long religious festival.
