Fog, Sun, And Showers: India’s Weather Mix On Republic Week Eve

The IMD has released its daily weather bulletin for January 25, 2026, covering major regions across India. While northern states continue to experience winter fog and chill, southern and western regions are seeing relatively stable conditions. An approaching western disturbance is expected to influence weather patterns in the coming days.  

Key Highlights  

• Delhi NCR remains under dense morning fog with minimum temperatures around 6-8°C, visibility reduced in several areas  
• Mumbai experiences mild and clear weather with temperatures ranging between 16-28°C, no rain predicted  
• Chennai records warm conditions with highs near 30°C, humidity levels remain elevated  
• Karnataka stays dry with cool mornings and maximum temperatures around 27°C  
• Rajasthan witnesses cold nights with minimums near 5-7°C, dry weather persists  
• Ahmedabad records clear skies, temperatures between 12-26°C  
• Jammu mostly cloudy today, with IMD predicting light to moderate rainfall and possible snowfall in western Himalayan regions between January 26-28  

Future Outlook  
IMD has warned of an intense western disturbance likely to bring rain and snow to the western Himalayas later this week. Other regions are expected to maintain stable weather, with gradual warming in central and southern states.
