Upper regions of Himachal Pradesh saw fresh snowfall today, ending a long dry spell and giving a boost to farmers' hopes for improved crops. Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, and upper regions of Kullu, Shimla, Chamba, Kangra, and Sirmaur districts witnessed moderate to heavy snowfall. Tourist spots such as Sissu, Atal tunnel, Solang valley, Kufri, and Narkanda were also shrouded in snow. The meteorological centre forecasts light rain and snow over Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, and Chamba, Kangra, and Kullu districts' high altitudes on February 21 and 22. Experts consider this rain would rejuvenate the soil moisture as well as assist fruit crops, such as apples.
