Hyderabad is abuzz with activity as Miss Canada, Emma Deanna Cathryn Morrison, was the first foreign contestant to arrive for the Miss World 2025 pageant. Morrison arrived at Shamshabad Airport on Saturday night, where she was welcomed with a grand traditional welcome, showcasing the rich culture and hospitality of Telangana.

The Telangana government, led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, has launched a holistic plan to make the experience of all participants unforgettable, with an aim to leverage the event as a platform to draw global investment and highlight the state's rich heritage.
Participants will set out on a varied schedule, such as the spiritual tour of Buddhavanam Project and Buddhist Theme Park Nagarjuna Sagar, the heritage walk around Charminar and Laad Bazaar, and trips to Chowmahalla Palace, the Thousand Pillar Temple, Warangal Fort, and UNESCO World Heritage Ramappa Temple.
The opening function will take place on May 10 at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium with traditional Telangana tribal and folk dance performances.
The Miss World 2025 final will take place on May 31 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre, preceded by a week of cultural, culinary, and heritage activities.
Hyderabad's preparations and Morrison's pre-arrival have created aspirited buzz for the weeks to come, with the promise of a vivacious fusion of international glamour and local tradition.
